- Feature: New feature “Periodic Charges” introduced at the asset and product (portfolio) level. Primarily designed to accommodate the need for entering monthly or annual recurring fees for software assets, the “Dealer Cost Price” can now be defined as either a) purchase/selling costs [default price], b) monthly fee, c) quarterly fee, d) bi-annual fee, or e) annual fee. Changing the “Dealer Cost and Selling Price Definition” affects how the “dealer cost price” and “selling price” are considered in future contract calculations. Additionally, the product part of the TCO calculation will also change according to the “Dealer Cost and Selling Price Definition” and the value in the “Customer Buy Price” field.
- Feature: It is now possible to enter single lease rate amounts at the accessories level. The sum is accumulated and displayed at the asset level. Furthermore, the single lease rate for accessories can be defined in the portfolio.
- Feature: Future contract calculations are now performed at the asset level for any directly assignable amounts. This allows users to export full article lists (assets, accessories, etc.) in the report generator with detailed information about the gross profit and margin for every single article. Note: Any non-directly allocable amounts (e.g., total installation costs, common service charge) still need to be distributed by a distribution key.

This feature simplifies the transition from previously used CRM systems to MSD’s Prospect Management feature.
- Feature: Users can now import and export activities (tasks, events, and records) to/from a CSV file in the “Activities/Table” workspace. This feature simplifies the transition from previously used CRM systems to MSD’s Prospect Management feature.

- Improvement: “Selling Price” logic at the asset (project) and product (portfolio) level reworked to suggest a final price if no margin (0%) is entered. Also, the sum of the accessories' selling prices is now calculated and displayed at the asset or product level.
- Improvement: Error Dialog improved by hiding technical information from users and showing only relevant information. Additionally, once the error report is sent by a user, it includes additional information for developers such as request type, browser type & version, and last 10 user actions (clicks, dialogs, workspaces, etc.). This can help developers reproduce the issue.
- Improvement: Colours edit dialog in the prospect management settings reworked to show user-defined and inherited categories.
- Improvement: Project transformation adjusted to accommodate the new TCO calculation features.

4.8.3

- Feature: Alongside the ability to enter the selling price for each asset individually, the calculation of the selling price is now achievable at the asset level by inputting either the margin/markup or the gross profit value. This functionality has been also extended to accessories and consumables. Additionally, consumables now include a new field for "shipping costs," which is applicable in reporting. New reporting placeholders ([[MARGIN-OR-MARKUP-PERCENT]], [[GROSS-PROFIT]], [[SELLING-PRICE]]) have been added for the tables [[TR_TPD]], [[TR_TEQU]], and [[TR_TCON]]. Furthermore, for assets, the following placeholders are available: [[PRICE-SELLING-EQU]], [[SELLING-PRICE-TOTAL]]. For consumables, the placeholder [[SHIPPING-COSTS]] is available. In V4.8, these fields consistently refer to the direct values on the Asset, Accessory, or Consumable entity level. If assets are added to a contract without activating the "use individual selling prices" option for product part calculation, the contract reference placeholders should be used instead: [[FIRSTCONTRACT_MARGIN-PROD-CALC]], [[FIRSTCONTRACT_PRODUCT-MARGIN-OR-MARKUP-PERCENT]], [[FIRSTCONTRACT_CALC-GROSSPROFIT-PRODUCT]], [[FIRSTCONTRACT_PRODUCT-SELLING-PRICE-SUM]].
- Feature: In the MSD administration at the user level, the following options are now available: "Gets share for new companies" and the revamped "Remind share project". Activating "Gets share for new companies" for User-A will prompt User-B to automatically share new companies for User-A. Also, users with the "Remind share project" activated will receive a reminder to share a new project if the host company is already shared.
- Feature: It's now possible to enter the margin/markup, gross profit, and selling price for all portfolio articles. As this requires margin/markup calculation, new settings have been added to the portfolio: calculation formula – margin or markup. These settings are derived from the user’s application setting for every new portfolio. Existing portfolios will get the margin-setting by default.
- Feature: New placeholders have been added to generate a list of items (icons on the floor map) in reporting. Utilize the [[TR_ITEM]] table-placeholder with column-placeholders like [[NAME]], [[ALLOCATION-1]], [[ATTACHMENT-IMG]] to export a list of items along with images.
- Feature: "Can assign activities to other persons" option has been included in the user administration. Only users with this activated option are authorized to create/assign activities (tasks, events, records) for/to other users.
- Feature: Filter functionality has been added to the calendar like in the kanban board. Moreover, it's now possible to select multiple users to display their events on a single calendar. By default, only own events are displayed.

The “Attach accessory / consumable to product(s)” function in the portfolio’s secondary articles (accessories and consumables) table enables to (de)attach secondary articles (from)to multiple primary articles at once. This is useful when changing the connection of an accessory to several products – e.g., replacing deprecated accessories with the new ones.

- New feature: ITscope integration allows to insert any IT and Software articles from the ITscope database and apply them as products inside a portfolio or as assets in the current or future state. Note: MSD users need to bring their own ITscope license, as it is not included to this integration. To activate that feature, put a valid API key in the settings area (“ITscope access” menu item under the account name on the top right of user interface).
- New feature: With the single leasing contract option for any asset, it is possible to put a lease rate, contract start date and duration at the asset level without a need to create a contract and attach asset to it. To use that feature, activate the checkbox “Single Leasing Contract?” in the asset form (Product Part / Prices). This saves a lot of time if you deal with multiple leasing / rental contracts which are individual for every asset. Furthermore, these values can be imported with a CSV file or also be pre-defined in a portfolio. Similar as MSD calculates single purchase contracts (assets which are not attached to any pool contract) it calculates now also the single lease contracts by using the lease rate instead of customer buy price and depreciation period.

- Bug fix: “Multiple assets selected” message sometimes appears although only one was selected
- Bug fix: Entering of a date causes issues in the date conversion for some cultures / regions

The PWA can easily be installed on your desktop / home screen by clicking on the plus button in the chrome browser’s address line on the right. Since this application is a web-based application, it works on any modern device with MacOS, Windows, iOS and Android. It is recommended to use Google Chrome for having access to all features of the PWA technology.
